Sadly, You Can't Believe Everything You are Told During the Tour. We received one story when we toured, and in reality experienced something different upon move-in. For example, the family room, we were told was available on a first come basis, unless we wanted to rent it exclusively for an event. We selected the apartment we did because of its proximity to the family room and our desire to spend the little time left with family as much as possible (time is very limited due to a liver cancer diagnosis). However, after a few weeks we tried to use the family room for the first time and found it is locked and not available on the weekends unless you pay $50. When discussing this with the front office, they did not deny we were told what we were during the tour. But they were committed to the $50 charge policy.

Do not move in here they are so dishonest.. I had friend who payed there rent and they still gave them hard time.. I research and found out they are so dishonest with there tenants. Management very unprofessional.

Its all about Avalon. 50 pages of a lease agreement that a person can't understand without an attorney. They manipulate you to get you in and fail to tell you all the 'extra' charges; coveted parking, storage. They don't care about who they serve, the elderly public. If you're late 1 day you get assessed with high late charges and a three day eviction notice on your door. No heart. I was told 'it's a business'. Yeah and who pays them. I would never recommend anyone over 55 to rent here. When you're older, you forget because of your age and you get to pay for that if you're late. They won't let you out of your lease without paying a rediculous amount. Can't have someone take over your lease without a rediculous amount. Like I said, they don't care about the elderly, 'it's business'. Elderly renters beware. Won't renew my lease.

As a resident of Avalon, I enjoy the wonderful views with big open windows, the spacious kitchens, and large bathrooms where even a wheelchair can get in without any problems. I also enjoy the people that live here. They are cheery and happy. Its wonderful to sit and enjoy each others company in the common areas. The employees that work here are very willing to help with any kinds of problems. We also get fresh coffee and muchies daily.
